Photos From 2005: Featuring Ali and I's Trip to Australia! From February 11th through February 27th Ali and I were bouncing to and around Australia via planes, trains and automobiles (and boats for that matter). The trip was largely vacation, although I did have a two-day conference in Melbourne in the middle of the trip. We left on Friday February 11th, and arrived in Sydney on Sunday February 13th (February 12th did not exisit for us!). We spent 3 days checking out Sydney, and then rented a car and drove north to wine country (Hunter Valley) and east (to Nelson Bay, home of many Dolphins). Following that we drove back to Sydney and flew to Melbourne and stayed for 4 days. And finally after that we flew north to Cairns, and stayed in the town of Port Douglas to the north of Cairns. Here we had easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. We flew back on Sunday February 27th. The picture on this page is Ali and I from the top of the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
